U.S. Standard Screw Guide
An inch screw is a screw that is measured in inches.
Formally, they are called "ISO inch screws" and "Unified screws." Basically, the Unified screw standard is adopted by the three countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, and it was standardized for military use. In Japan, the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) stipulate that the commonly used screws are of the same standard as "ISO metric screws," while "ISO inch screws" are used in aviation and other cases where it is particularly necessary.
